Wurec in Boston

WUREC hosted its first Trek of the 2022-2023 school year to Boston, Massachusetts. We met with the three companies: Related Beal, Samuels & Associates, and BXP (Boston Properties).

The first stop was a breakfast with Related Beal. Related Beal is a leading, well-established developer in the Boston area that focuses specifically on life science and office properties. The group discussed Channelside, a large-scale multi-use development that includes 735,000 square feet of primarily office and life science space. The group went on site visits to life science developments and redevelopments and were educated on the intricacies of life sciences as an asset class.

Next, the group visited Parcel 12 with Samuels & Associates, a Boston based developer with a wide array of investments across all real estate asset classes. The group finished up the day by visiting an experiential attraction that is currently bring developed by BXP (Boston Properties), called “View Boston.” BXP is a NYSE listed REIT specializing in commercial office properties, with a concentration in Boston, LA, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, DC.
