Schwartz and Shah both joined the Cadre team after graduating in 2017 and we are honored to invite them back to campus. Schwartz earned a BS in Economics from Wharton with a triple concentration in accounting, finance, and real estate. Shah graduated from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology, earning a BS in Systems Engineering from Penn Engineering and a BS in Economics from Wharton dual concentrating in Finance and Real Estate.

In 1958, when Alan Horwitz observed a crowd of students waiting in line for housing at the University of Pennsylvania, his entrepreneurial spirit ignited and Campus Apartments was born. Currently, the company has expanded to over 25 states and 150 properties. With over $1.5 billion in assets under management, their portfolio consists of garden-style, mid-rise, and high-rise assets, as well as mixed-use and urban scattered-site housing.
David Adelman is the President and CEO of Campus Apartments. He also is a Co-Founder & Chairman at Franklin Square Holdings LP. He is on the ICG Board of Directors and is Vice Chair of University City District Board of Directors, a member of National Multi Family Council, a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, a member of Urban Land Institute's Philadelphia Chapter and former President of the Apartment Association of Greater Philadelphia. Mr. Adelman holds an undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University.
The Rise of Real Estate VC: A Talk with Camber Creek (Nov. 12, 2018)
Camber Creek is a venture capital firm providing capital and strategic expertise to real estate tech companies. Camber Creek invests across a range of real estate tech businesses, including construction, property management, development, and leasing. With offices in NY and DC, collectively the firm’s investors own and manage more than 150 million square feet of commercial real estate and over 150,000 multifamily units. Camber Creek’s portfolio include Latch, VTS, Latista (acquired by Textura), ClearEdge (acquired by TopCon), TurboAppeal (acquired by Paradigm Tax), Compstak, Measurabl, and Bowery. In June, Camber Creek raised $30 million for its second fund.
Prior to joining Camber Creek, Mr. Loewentheil served as a Commissioned Officer to President Barack Obama, leading the National Economic Council's work on transportation, aviation, broadband and other infrastructure issues. Among other projects, Mr. Loewentheil led the White House's work on integrating drones into commercial air space, the Build America Investment Initiative to drive private investment in U.S. infrastructure, and the President's Broadband Opportunity Council. Mr. Loewntheil is also Co-Founder of Baltimore Homecoming, the Millenial Action Project (MAP), and the Roosevelt Institute. Mr. Loewentheil holds a JD and undergraduate degree from Yale Law School and Yale University, respectively.
Jake Fingert (Nov 20, 2017)
Jake Fingert is a Partner at Camber Creek, a venture capital firm investing in technologies impacting the real estate sector. Jake coordinates all aspects of Camber Creek’s operation and portfolio management. He serves on the Board of Directors of Bowery and is an advisor to Building Engines. Jake was previously a Senior Policy Advisor at the White House, appointed by President Obama, where he led the infrastructure financing portfolio and helped lead the National Economic Council’s Smart City efforts. He also served as a Senior Advisor to the GSA Administrator where he helped identify new investments and manage operations for the Federal Government’s real estate portfolio of approximately 350 million square feet. Prior to joining the government, he was a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, with distinction, and an undergraduate degree from Emory University with high honors. Jake is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Thomas Donatucci (Nov 1, 2017)
Thomas Donatucci is the president of Knickerbocker Properties. Knickerbocker Properties is a local Philadelphia real estate owner-operator. They own properties across some of the most desirable neighborhoods in Philadelphia. A family owned company, they also partner with Universities like Drexel and University of Pennsylvania. Their mantra is to “Keep it simple.”
Ed Falkowski (Oct 18, 2017)
Not too far from here, Ed Falkowski studied accounting at The Learner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware before entering the world of real estate. He then went on to work as an appraiser at Star Appraisals Inc. and A.R. Hughes and Company for over 10 years. Ed is currently the Associate Director Appraiser for Cushman & Wakefield, a global commercial real estate services company that operates in more than 70 countries. Cushman and Wakefield is among the largest commercial real estate services firms with revenues upwards of $6 billion.
