Joey is a junior from Philadelphia studying Real Estate and Finance at Wharton. Along with WUREC, Joey is involved with the Wharton Investment and Trading Group as well as the Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club. Next summer, Joey will be interning at Blackstone in the Real Estate division working on their Core-Plus funds. This past summer, Joey obtained his PA real estate sales license and worked with a commercial brokerage in Philadelphia. In his free time he enjoys going to the gym and reviewing different Philly cheesesteaks.

Maxim Rubin ‘26

Maxim is a senior from Moscow, Russia studying Real Estate and Finance at Wharton. This summer, he is working on the Asset Management team at BentallGreenOak (BGO), a global real estate investment management and advisory firm. Last summer, he worked on the Investment team at Raider Hill Advisors, a real estate investment and advisory firm in New York, where he gained experience underwriting super-regional malls, building promote models for joint venture bids, and analyzing the CMBS market. Outside of WUREC, Maxim is also involved with the Wharton Investment and Trading Group’s Real Estate team. In his free time, Maxim enjoys skiing, playing soccer, traveling, and working on his coin collection.

Griffin Albaugh ‘27

Griffin Albaugh is a sophomore from Wisconsin studying Real Estate and Finance at Wharton. In addition to WUREC, Griffin is involved in the Wharton Investment and Trading Group’s Real Estate Team, The Successful Transition and Empowerment Program (STEP), and serves as the Wharton Chair for the Class of 2027. Outside of academics, Griffin is involved in Greek life and plays wing for the Penn Men’s Rugby Club. Griffin previously interned at Labcorp on their Venture Capital team responsible for their 200 million dollar portfolio. In his free time, you can find Griffin at the gym, exploring new restaurants, skiing, and playing pickleball.

Reed Sullivan ‘27

Reed is a junior from Tennessee, concentrating in Real Estate and Finance. He has served on the communications committee and has been active in WUREC since his freshman year. This past summer, he worked in Multifamily Acquisitions and Asset Management at GoldOller Real Estate Investments, based in Philadelphia. He is also involved with the Wharton Investment and Trading Group’s Real Estate team. In his free time, he is an avid runner and enjoys learning history.

This past summer, she worked at Angeles Equity Partners, focusing on value creation for lower middle-market industrial companies. Next summer, Jacqueline will be interning at the Blackstone Group in the Strategic Partners division working on real estate secondaries. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Philadelphia’s coffee scene and contributing to the community.

Josh is a senior from Malvern, Pennsylvania concentrating in finance and real estate. In addition to WUREC, Joshua is also the co-president of Penn Barbell Club. This past summer, Josh interned at Sculptor Real Estate in New York on the acquisitions team and will be returning full-time. During previous summers, he has worked at Stockton Real Estate Advisors as an acquisitions and finance intern and HSB (reinsurance) in operations. In his free time, Josh enjoys lifting, cooking, and listening to EDM/house music.

Conrad Brown ‘26

Conrad is a senior from Boston majoring in Urban Studies and minoring in Real Estate. In addition to WUREC, Conrad is a PM in the Wharton Investment and Trading Group Real Estate team. He was also a 2024 – 25 Penn IUR Fellow in Urban Leadership, where he enjoyed learning from urban policy experts and working on real-world city planning issues. During his sophomore summer, Conrad interned at HPS in their real estate group working on private credit and equity investments. This past summer, Conrad interned at Goldman Sachs in their Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging investment banking division. In his free time, Conrad enjoys playing soccer, skiing, golfing, and traveling with his friends and family.

Vanessa Kouri ‘27

Vanessa is a junior from New York City studying Finance and Artificial Intelligence for Business at Wharton. Along with WUREC, she is involved in Wharton Latino. Vanessa previously interned with Girls Who Invest in MetLife Investment Management where she researched investments in Real Estate and Agricultural Finance. Next summer, Vanessa will be interning in investment banking at Morgan Stanley. In her free time she enjoys doing ballet, exercising outdoors, and exploring different restaurants in Philly.

Samuli is a junior from Helsinki, Finland, concentrating in Finance and Real Estate at Wharton. This past summer, he worked at Fredericks Michael & Co., a New York -based boutique investment bank, gaining exposure to cross-border M&A by covering active buy-side and sell-side projects in the Nordics. Prior to investment banking, he has gained experience in both activist investing and real estate development. Outside of college, Samuli has been active in Finnish youth party politics and has played ice hockey competitively for almost 14 years.

Marilyn Shi ‘27

Marilyn is a junior from Queens, New York, concentrating in Real Estate and Legal Studies at Wharton, with a minor in Art History. Alongside WUREC, she serves as Director of Investments at the Penn Students Federal Credit Union and looks forward to studying abroad in Milan, Italy, at Università Bocconi. Marilyn will be joining BDT & MSD Partners’ Real Estate Private Equity team this summer. She has previously interned at Oaktree Capital Management, Sculptor Capital Management, Artemis Real Estate Partners, and Balaysny Asset Management. In her free time, you can find her beekeeping, embarking on outdoor adventures, reading memoirs, and baking.

Josh is a junior from Vancouver, Washington concentrating in Real Estate and Finance. Along with WUREC, Josh is involved with the Wharton Investment and Trading Group and the Korean Undergraduate Business Society. This past summer, he interned at ScanlanKemperBard in Portland, working in acquisitions and asset management with a focus on advanced manufacturing and multifamily assets across the West Coast. Outside of work and school, he enjoys traveling, skiing, exploring Manhattan’s hidden food spots, and rock climbing.

George Pangalos ‘27

George Pangalos is a Joseph Wharton Scholar at the Wharton School, concentrating in Finance and Real Estate. He has a strong background in portfolio management, real estate, and maritime shipping. At CP Investments Group, George has been instrumental in managing portfolios, projects, and negotiations across various markets, using his expertise in financial modeling and deal structuring to develop investment strategies. Previously, he gained valuable experience at Star Bulk Carriers, focusing on the acquisition and financial analysis of newbuilding vessels and conducting market research. George's professional experience reflects his ability to navigate complex investment landscapes and deliver successful outcomes. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, sailing, and playing squash.

Mateusz Jakubek is a senior at the Wharton School concentrating in Finance and Real Estate. Marcus is a junior from Brooklyn, New York majoring in Economics and English. In addition to WUREC, Marcus has written for 34th Street and The Walk. Previously, Marcus has interned at Z+G Property Group, a New-York based real estate investment firm, where he worked on a variety of joint ventures with the Carlyle group in and around New York city. Additionally, Marcus has interned at York RE Capital Partners, a boutique self storage development firm targeting opportunistic investments across the sun belt. Marcus' personal interests and hobbies include running, skiing, cooking, writing, and fashion.
